Ingredients
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 lb ground pork
- 2 cloves minced garlic
- 1 tbsp grated ginger
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp fish sauce
- 1 tsp white pepper
- 1 tbsp black bean garlic sauce
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- Salt to taste
- Sub bun
- Pickled veggies
- Cucumber
- Cilantro
- Sauce:
- ¼ cup Mayo
- 2-3 tbsp Sriracha
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp rice vinegar
Directions
- Step 1 Add olive oil to a pan on medium heat. Once the oil is hot, add the minced garlic and grated ginger, sautee until fragrant.
- Step 2 Add in the ground pork, breaking up with a spatula.
- Step 3 Once the ground pork starts to brown add in soy sauce, fish sauce, white pepper, sesame oil and black bean garlic sauce.
- Step 4 Mix everything together until combined and add in the cornstarch.
- Step 5 Mix everything together for the sauce.
- Step 6 Toast the sub buns
- Step 7 Time to assemble! Start with the toasted sub bun adding the sriracha mayo on each side, then add your ground pork topped with cucumber, pickled veggies, and cilantro.
This is my favorite pickled veggies, try to make these at least an hour in advance (even better if you can make them the night before.
